Welcome to Tuesday! Today we have someone that truly inspires me with what she does and has accomplished. She really is one of the most interesting people I've ever had on the podcast. Her mind in regards to pop culture and the larger meanings we derive from all of these music, movies and tv shows is second to none. Her name is Kate Kennedy and her brilliant podcast is called Be There in Five. (@bethereinfive) This is a VERY long conversation. i left it in pretty much unedited because i loved it so much in the moment that i was thinking you guys might really dig it too. It goes everywhere. We hit Summer House, The Bachelor, Vanderpump, Jen shah, Taylor Swift, Scooter Braun, movie love vs. real love, how she got her start, Twilight, what a horrible name Renesme is, Spotify playlists, the pandemic, the consumption of pop culture and so much more. This one has it all. If you dont know Kate you are about to know her in a big way. She really inspires me and just filled me with even more passion for what I'm trying to do than i had before. I hope all this comes across to you guys at home when youre listening. I hope you have a blast. Talk to y'all on Wednesday!

Kate Kennedy is a Chicago-based entrepreneur, author and pop culture commentator who is best known for her namesake brand and podcast, Be There in Five. About the podcast, Be There in Five. Grounded in the topics that distract host Kate Kennedy (entrepreneur, author, pop culture commentator) on a daily basis, Be There in Five explores all facets of popular culture in a thoughtful, analytical, editorialized, and comedic format. Kate covers a wide range of topics reflecting the current zeitgeist, i.e. celebrities, bloggers/influencers, social media, and tv/moves/music, but also focuses on the humor found in reexamining the 90s/00s zeitgeist as an adult, from AIM to Zenon. Above all else, Kate started this podcast to champion lovers of pop culture by taking the guilt out of guilty pleasures.
